Watch the latest Pathways Forum: ‘Bending the curve of biodiversity loss with winding pathways to sustainability’

Our fourth Pathways Forum, which took place on March 30, 2022, explored how pathways can change the trajectory of biodiversity loss towards a more sustainable direction. David Leclère (IIASA) presented his recent work on scenario development for reversing the decline of terrestrial biodiversity, and the urgent lifestyle changes, technological progress and modifications in land use management this calls for. David Obura (CORDIO East Africa) illustrated how actions from local and indigenous communities can contribute, and in many ways are essential, to reaching global biodiversity targets. The speaker presentations were followed by a plenary discussion which explored how different biodiversity contexts influence, and are in turn, influenced by pathways.

This Pathways Forum was organised in collaboration with BioDISCOVERY, The Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment (GMBA), and the Programme for Ecosystem Change and Society (PECS).
