As MP and former researcher, Hendrik Davi argues for the need of a clear distinction between scientific and political actions. According to him, the role of scientists is to produced knowledge to inform the public opinion and political processes. However, scientists and the knowledge they produce cannot alone lead to decision-making without going through democratic deliberations.
